Needless to say, you should check it out.

The Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach is getting ready to release his debut solo album. Keep It Hid is out Feb 10, 2009 and features 14 songs he produced himself.

The album features contributions from close family including his uncle James Quine. Given Auerbach’s professed love of blues, it’s not difficult to imagine what kind of record Keep it Hid will turn out to be. He mentioned in a statement

This record is a mixture of things I like to listen to, psychedelia, soul music, country harmonies.

The Black Keys released one of 2008′s top records Attack & Release, and recently put out a live concert DVD. Check out a live version of ‘I Got Mine’ on the Indiecision music player or download a free MP3.

Head downstairs for the track list.

‘Trouble Weighs a Ton’
‘I Want Some More’
‘Heartbroken, In Disrepair’
‘Because I Should’
‘Whispered Words’
‘Real Desire’
‘When the Night Comes’
‘Mean Monsoon’
‘The Prowl’
‘Keep It Hid’

Blues rock duo The Black Keys are sitting on a goldmine. The White Stripes-esque indie glory that so long avoided them (finally) seems to be on its way. Apart from the fact that Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney are tremendously accomplished musicians, they have consistently added to their catalogue lasting music. The latest addition to this enviable collection is Attack & Release. An album thatâ??s as visceral as it is catchy, A&R is chock full of Auerbachâ??s trademark guitar crunchiness and Carneyâ??s heady thump.

The band is now out with a live DVD, The Black Keys Live at the Crystal Ballroom. The DVD is a recording of the band’s performance at the Crystal Ballroom, Portland in April this year. It contains 17 songs and some bonus features. Indiecision brings you ‘I Got Mine’; perhaps the best riff of 2008.
