The drum & bass duo from London recently released a new SS album, Phasmatis In Machina (which will be released in India soon as well), and have plot a four city India tour this month that includes stops in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore.

Phasmatis In Machina is the act’s debut LP and features collabs with a bunch of artists including Shaa’ir + Func. They’ve also got a video out for the song ‘Outlaw’, which airs on Vh1 but you can check it out here if you’ve stopped watching TV like normal people.

The frequent collaborators put their drum & bass-electro sensibilities to the test on this new track. ‘Outlaw’ brings The Prodigy-esque electropunk trappings to Nerm’s lyrics about disillusionment and capitalism, combining them to create a raucous, almost industrial soundscape of self preservation in modern society.

The video, directed by Shaft Uddin, is a low budget but well produced three and a half minutes that takes us through the day of a woman dealing with inner demons that’ve taken the form of masked and suited, post-war zombies. Just what a song like this needed. If they had a bigger budget, choreographing a zombie war dance may not have been an entirely bad idea.
