Tell us about ‘The Old Whore’.
Well, this was one of those rare ones that happens with such ease that you never fully get over the suspicion that you may have unknowingly ripped it off. I wrote it in my head while travelling to work one day, back when I used to take a bus to work, back when I used to have a corporate job. One verse and one chorus, and it flowed out really smoothly. I later added a second verse, but essentially that first mental draft was the song. And it’s probably one of the main reasons for Dischordian’s existence – people loved it, I was really happy with it, and I thought I should pursue the general direction of that sound.
