Preparations are underway as the happiest music festival hits the capital this weekend. It's the calm before the storm and the distinctive colourful masts adorn the venue. It's a bit breezy during the day and fairly nippy in the night, so if you're coming to the Buddh International Circuit tomorrow, make sure you're carrying something warm. Tickets are still available online and at the festival box office from noon onwards.
All six stages of the festival will be live on both days of the weekend. The layout of the festival grounds has been specially designed keeping walking distances, sound leak and more in mind. It's easy to get around.
Food and merch
There's going to be some pretty great food and merch options at the festival grounds including stalls that have travelled to the Pune and Bangalore editions as well. That's Sharanya, who makes sure all our festival attendees walk home with some happy memories and happy bellies.
Hic habitat felicitas
The now familiar gate arch welcomes all festival attendees to the happiest music festival.
Festival attendees who can "walk the line" can take a free ride on the ferris wheel which promises some pretty spectacular views of the festival. We'll have pics for you from up there soon!
The festival main stage has a lineup packed with some fantastic Indian and international talent, including MUTEMATH, Meshuggah and Scribe. Check out the full festival lineup here.
Red Bull Tour Bus
The Red Bull Tour Bus has rolled into the festival grounds and will see performances from the likes of We Were Promised Jetpacks, Bombay Bassment, Dualist Inquiry Band, The Lightyears Explode and more over the weekend.
The Red Bull Tour Bus tour manager Nikhil Warrier sets up the stage atop the Bus. He's been travelling with the Bus around the country and has some pretty interesting on-the-road stories. If you spot him around the festival grounds, ask him!
Sunset at the festival grounds is quite a sight. That's the sign that you need to take out your winterwear though.
Shilo Shiv Suleman's beautiful The Dewarists stage backdrop gets set up today. The stage will see performances by everyone from Lucky Ali to Kailasa to Vir Das' Alien Chutney over the weekend.
Hey, we need a break from all the heavy lifting sometimes.
Seriously, the sunset here is gorgeous. See for yourself at the festival grounds on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1! Follow all the action live on our official live blog.
