Delhi (well, Greater Noida to be precise), we’re coming your way this weekend! The Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2013 (tickets here) will travel to the Buddh International Circuit on November 30 and December 1. Today, we’re telling you absolutely everything you need to know about the festival, with a few extra details to get you ready for the happiest music festival experience. You can also download this guide as a mobile-friendly PDF right here.

Now in its second year, the Delhi edition of the festival comes to you bigger and better. We’re bringing MUTEMATH, Meshuggah, Lucky Ali, Kailasa, Benga, not to mention the new additions of Vir Das’ Alien Chutney and The Manganiyar Seduction, and that’s just the a few picks from a bill with 50 acts on it. Check out the full lineup of the festival here. While you’re at the festival, keep your eyes and ears peeled for secret sets, artist meet and greets and more. Can’t make it to the festival? Follow all the action on the official festival live blog. Check out what’s in store for you this weekend below.

Pro-Tips
Be Just About Well Planned
With so many artists spread out across the festival’s six stages, it’s going to be pretty hard checking out every single act your friends and you want to catch. Scientific studies have found that picking the three to four artists you really want to catch everyday and sticking to a loose schedule that allows you to discover some great new talent is the best way to keep your conscience happy through the weekend. Use the handy festival scheduler at NH7 inTown to help you plan your day.

Happy Feet, Happy Festival
Make sure you’ve got some seriously comfy kicks if you’re one of those hardcore Weekender Warriors who wants to catch over 78% of the acts at the festival (it’s not a mathematical impossibility). Even if you’re not, there’s plenty of strolling the lush festival grounds in the offing, so some shoes you can sink into are a must. High heels… not the best idea this time, ladies.

Charge Up Your Batteries
We know you’ll be using your phones and other mobile devices to Tweet, Instagram, MySpace (oh wait, is that a thing anymore?) all your favourite festival moments. And yes, we’ve got special charging stations for all your devices. Head over to the MTS Discover Lounge and use any of the MTS Charge Up booths to fuel up. While you’re there, show off your shred cred on Guitar Hero! The highest scorer gets to take on a guitarist from one of the headlining acts at the festival (hope all that serious practice shredding pays off) AND win a brand new PlayStation 3!

Real Life Social Media
Sure, you’ve come with a bunch of friends and everyone’s here to enjoy the music, but the secret to an all-round happy festival is having a conversation with a random stranger about how much you like or dislike dubstep. People from around the country make a trip to the festival and it’s a great place to make new friends to share songs with on Facebook months after this weekend.

Be Cool
There’s plenty of music, and buckets, to keep you happy over the next few days. Don’t be that person who does something unsafe or illegal on the festival grounds. Drugs aren’t cool, and we will hand over users to the authorities.

Zippo Lights Up the Happiest Festival
Holding a lighter at a gig is near synonymous to live music. The folks over at Zippo have a cool app called the Virtual Zippo Lighter that you can use at a gig in case you aren’t carrying your lighter. It’s a nifty little application (downloadable for free from the iTunes Store and the Google Play Store) that “opens” with a flick of your wrist, and “lights” with a turn of the flint wheel. The flame even sways when you move your phone back and forth. The app now has a special Bacardi NH7 Weekender skin which you can select and use to sway along to your favourite acts at the festival. Head to the Zippo booth at the festival (check the map) and show your Bacardi NH7 Weekender lighter skin for a chance to win some great Zippo goodies!

Rise With Bacardi
The best seats in the house at the happiest music festival are not actually on the ground, but several feet in the air. The Bacardi Hot Air Balloon is where you can get the best view of the festival and a unique perspective on the happiest music festival. Where is it? Look up!

Be A Weekender Warrior
Here are just a few simple dos and don’ts to make sure you have a stress-free festival experience.

>> Do not lose/misplace/break your wristband. You’ll need it to enter the festival grounds on both days. (And yes, it’ll stay on even if you shower!)

>> Alcoholic beverages will only be served to those above legal drinking age, which is 21 in Delhi NCR. No exceptions, sorry.

>> Swapping wristbands is just not cool. Don’t run the risk of getting caught and having yours revoked.

>> Cameras are allowed in the festival grounds. Don’t forget to take some great shots and share them with us on Facebook and Twitter.

>> Most important rule: Lose yourself. Abandon your friends. Talk to someone new.

>> Download the NH7 inTown app and keep up-to-date on lineups, schedules, other festival news and of course, special surprises.

>> Bags are allowed inside. Just make sure they’re big enough for awesome festival merch. There are no lockers on the festival grounds to keep your bags, so you’ll be responsible for their safety.

>> Please be aware and in charge of your personal belongings. We really won’t be able to help you if your stuff is lost.

>> Be nice to your fellow Weekender Warriors. After all, we’re all here to have fun. If you’re with a group of friends, it’s a good idea to assign a spot (pick one of the crazy installations at the festival, that usually works) to meet up if you lose each other. With thousands of festivalgoers on the festival grounds at the same time, mobile networks are bound to be slow, so picking a meeting spot always helps.

>> We advise you to not stand too close to the speakers as it can permanently damage your hearing. Earplugs are available for children at the box office.

Disabled Access
At the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, we believe that all our patrons should get to enjoy the festival in their own right. This is why we are committed to taking the necessary steps to make our festival accessible to the physically-impaired music fans out there. The Bacardi NH7 Weekender will be accessible by wheelchair, so festival attendees with physical disabilities need to keep an eye out for the signs that indicate where wheelchair access is located. Parking spaces have been reserved for the handicapped and these are located quite close to the box office. We are also constructing special areas at the various festival stages which have special wheelchair access. These areas are slightly elevated so that attendees with wheelchairs can enjoy the festival atmosphere and still get an unobstructed view of the stage. So take in the performances and hang out with all your friends because we’ve got the rest covered!

A Brief Guide to Grallo and Their Services
Who are these guys with the funny name? They come from the UK, and they help you to get to the Bacardi NH7 Weekender through what they call journey sharing. Basically, the festival starts during your journey, where you meet great people and extend that festival entertainment right until your last drop off.

So what is journey sharing? It’s exactly what it says it is; it allows you to share journeys. This is car sharing, taxi sharing and bus splitting. In our opinion, it’s a great way to get to the festival. It’s green, affordable, et cetera, et cetera – you catch our drift. Check out Grallo’s Bacardi NH7 Weekender services.

Delhi Shuttle Buses
Grallo’s shuttle buses can take you to the festival venue via five routes, listed below:

Delhi: Lotus Temple | Bhairav Mandir
Gurgaon: Opposite Kingdom Of Dreams
Noida: Botanical Garden Metro Station

Check out shuttle bus tariffs here.

Taxi Sharing
The way this works is that Grallo offers a host of the best taxi packages you can get for taxis in Bangalore. Your friends and you can book a cab, and if you have any spare seats, then just hire them out, saving some money for the festival. If you are flying solo, you can book a cab and let others come and break down the price.

Car Sharing
Post your ride on the Grallo site, and then wait for your car to fill up. Or if you are stuck, you need a ride, just come on to the site and see who is the best person to car pool with.

For updates on the best routes, transport info, and other useful travel stuff check out Grallo on Facebook and Twitter. Need help booking your journey? Call: +91 90359 12400
