UPDATE: We regret to announce that Paul Devro‘s three-city tour of India via the NH7 Layover has been postponed to the first half of 2014. Stay tuned for updates. The original post announcing the tour in October is below.

Dance music fans can take solace in many things to do during the upcoming music festival season. Needless to say, a lot of DJs, bands and producers will probably find themselves on Indian shores looking to play to audiences both new and old. The latest to come around will be here soon, really soon, like first week of October soon, and that’s Paul Devro.

Paul Devro is a dance music tastemaker, a DJ, and the creative director of what is undoubtedly one of the most bad-ass record labels in the world – Mad Decent, home to Diplo (who is a founder), Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, Baauer, Snoop Lion, Rusko, Zeds Dead, among other luminaries. On tour, Devro’s been pretty much everywhere from India, Australia, Russia, to almost all of Europe and North America. He’s shared the bill with the likes of Boyz Noize, Chromeo, A-Trak, Diplo, Annie Mac, and more, and now he’s coming to India, armed with the kind of music that gives dance floors the kind of Monday morning hangovers that stretch into Wednesday evenings. Devro’s got his finger on the pulse of what’s popping in the dance world and he’s gonna bring it.

Now, do your ears a favour and listen to one of Paul Devro’s Mad Decent mixtapes below. This one’s the ‘Puma presents Mad Decent Block Party 2012 Mixtape’.

Paul Devro will play the NH7 Layover in October, in the form of a three-city tour of India that’ll make stops in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. He’ll be supported on all three dates by Nucleya, Delhi’s big daddy of bass music and one of India’s most prolific producers and proponents of bass music sub-styles like trap, moombahton and tropical bass. Check out dates, venues and a tour poster below, and stay tuned for ticket details.

October 4 – Raasta, New Delhi
October 5 – Bonobo, Mumbai
October 6 – High Spirits, Pune
