Pursuing the diversified event portfolio that DNA Networks promotes and produces, the launch of SOUND AWAKE, a biannual Electronic Dance Music festival, is in the current trend and offering for a great live experience to music fans.
Promoters capitalising on music trends to produce live events isn’t uncommon, but being this blunt (and grammatically incorrect) about it is something we don’t see often. Most music fans we know usually aren’t concerned about promoters diversifying their event portfolios and just want to have a great time listening to music. To that end, Sound Awake features four stages which include a Ministry of Sound outpost, a Hed Kandi stage, an “IndiStage” and a DNAlive stage. The festival will also see a food court, and a “Goa Flea Market” for fans to check out during the day. Gigs in four cities in the days leading up to the festival will see artists performing at the festival playing sets at clubs in those cities. Check out the event lineup below.
August 2 – Tim Cullen (Ministry of Sound), Shisha, Kolkata
August 2 – Shane Kehoe (Minsitry of Sound), Rain, Hyderabad
August 3 – Yves Larock, Jynxx, New Delhi
Tickets for the event will set you back Rs 1,000 (an early bird rate till July 22) for the ‘Golden Circle’ and Rs 5,000 for the ‘Platinum Circle’ and can be purchased here. Check out the lineup revealed so far below.
