Indie Central World Music Weekend announced
Indie Central is a new gig series in Delhi which showcases emerging musical talent from the city. This weekend, they’re celebrating World Music Weekend with gigs at Blue Frog, Delhi, and Cafe 27. The Weekend will feature performances by the likes of Delhi acts The Alibi and Peter Cat Recording Co. They’ll also be joined by Australian act Citizen Of The World, who are currently touring the country, and South African multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Loops. Check out details below.

GODS ROBOTS album launch gig announced
Electronica duo GODS ROBOTS released their debut eponymous album online earlier this month, and now they’re celebrating with a launch gig. The gig takes place at Zerzura, Delhi, tonight, and kicks off at 9pm. Entry is free. Check out a poster below, and stream GODS ROBOTS.
Indian Ocean star in new PETA India advert
Delhi fusion rock giants Indian Ocean have donned chains to appear in an advertorial for PETA India against the use of animals in circuses. In the advert, the band put themselves in the place of performing animals, who are often constantly kept chained and shackled. Check out both the final advert and an interview with the band below.
Joi Barua releases new single, music video
Vocalist Joi Barua has just released a new single, titled ‘Pitol Soku’, as well as a music video to go along with it. The track was composed for a documentary titled ‘Riders Of The Mist’, and serves as the title track for the film. Barua will also officially launch the single in Guwahati next week. ‘Pitol Soku’ is available for download on Barua’s Reverbnation page. You can watch the music video below.
