Citizen Of The World to play BOMB Thursdays World Music Day
ennui.BOMB celebrates World Music Day this Thursday at another edition of the fortnightly BOMB Thursdays. While they’d announced their lineup earlier, there has been a surprise addition to the night. Australian folk rock act Citizen Of The World (pictured above) will make a stop at BOMB Thursdays during their ongoing India tour. Check out a revised lineup for the gig.

Dennis Sheperd India tour announced
German progressive trance DJ Dennis Sheperd is set to tour India this week. Sheperd established himself in the EDM scene with his 2007 release, ‘A Tribute To Life’, which later became a full-length, collaborative album of the same name. Having made a name for himself as a popular remixer and DJ, he’s made remixes for the likes of Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Gareth Emery. His India tour sees him perform in four cities over this week. Check out tour dates and venues below.
June 19 – Royalty, Mumbai
June 21 – Movida, Hyderabad
June 22 – Lemp Brewpub, Delhi
June 23 – The Chancery Pavillion, Bangalore
Tickets for the tour are priced between Rs 600 and Rs 1,200 in Mumbai, Rs 800 in Hyderabad, between Rs 1,000 and Rs 3,000 in Delhi and Rs 700 in Bangalore, and can be purchased here. Check out a tour poster below.
GODS ROBOTS release lyric video
Electronica duo GODS ROBOTS released their debut eponymous album last week (pre-order a physical copy here and buy it off iTunes India here). Now, they’ve put out a lyric video for ‘Stormy Weather’ off the album. The track features Mike Pipes on the guitar and flute. Stream the video below.
Khusrau-Kabir Across Centuries 2013 announced
Event management company Banyan Tree has been organising annual concerts celebrating India’s saint poets and musicians, including annual Sufi festival Ruhaniyat and Carnatic music festival Dakshinayan. Their upcoming concert, Khusrau-Kabir Across Centuries, celebrates the works of Sufi poet-musician Hazrat Amir Khusrau and mystic saint poet Kabir. The concert is set to take place at the Nehru Centre Auditorium, Mumbai, On June 22, and will feature performances by composer Madan Gopal Singh and his group Chaar Yaar, Rajasthani folk musician Mukhtiyar Ali, and Hyderabadi qawwal group Warsi Brothers. Tickets for the show, which starts at 6.30pm, are priced between Rs 200 and Rs 500 and are available here.
Siddharth Basrur releases new track
Singer-songwriter Siddharth Basrur has just released a new single for free download. The track, titled ‘Don’t Release Me’, is a mellow ode to a loved one. You can stream the track below and download it off the artist’s Soundcloud Page.
