Fly Music Festival’s Bangalore Edition Down to One Day?

If the festival’s ticketing websites are to be believed, Bangalore will see a reduced lineup (no KT Tunstall) and only one day of music. UPDATE: As per Fly Music Festival’s website, Robbie and Ray (of The Doors) and The Wailers are not on the lineup anymore.

Given its huge international lineup, the first edition of the Fly Music Festival (details) is one of the most anticipated additions to the ever-expanding Indian music festival calendar. Limp Bizkit, Deep Purple, Mastodon, KT Tunstall (pictured), Anthrax and others are scheduled to perform in India on the weekend of February 16-17 in New Delhi and Bangalore in a Reading-Leeds format of festival weekends (the set of acts that perform on the 16th in Delhi, perform on the 17th in Bangalore). Tickets to the festival are available on Kyazoonga, and on Fly’s page on the site today, we found this.

Uh oh.

Scroll down the page to the Buy Tickets button and you’ll find the lineup for Bangalore is currently listed for only one day, Sunday, February 17. Day one of the festival, earlier reported to feature KT Tunstall, Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of The Doors, The Dhol Foundation and Deap Vally, has mysteriously disappeared and tickets for the day are now available for the single-day price of Rs 2,250.

Similarly, the BookMyShow tickets page for the festival has also listed only Feb 17 for Bangalore. Here though, the lineup features all the artists earlier promised, with the addition of Bangalore rock vets Thermal And A Quarter. However, we find it difficult to believe that KT Tunstall, Deap Vally and others could play both New Delhi AND Bangalore on the same day, so we’re assuming it’s a temporary bug.

UPDATE: The BookMyShow page now shows the same artists as Kyazoonga – Limp Bizkit, Anthrax, Dub Pistols, Mastodon, Cuban Brothers, Kitty Daisy & Lewis. Thermal And A Quarter have also, sadly, disappeared from the list.

We’ve got no official word from the organisers about the change in schedule yet, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we do.

UPDATE (07.02): Fly Music Festival’s official website doesn’t list The Wailers and the two members of The Doors anymore. Check back for more updates soon. We also received this emailer.

So it’s official
