The Secret Scouters of Cool have come up with a discount card like no other. 15% off on food and alcohol at select outlets. Yes, even during happy hours.
We know everyone loves great deals, and for Mumbai foodies, 2013 just got a little sweeter. Lifestyle website Brown Paper Bag has teamed up with Poppy Fields to launch The Coup Card. The card, which launches on February 1, entitles the owner to a 15% discount on food and alcohol at BPB’s fifteen favourite eateries in Mumbai. How is this different from any other discount card, you ask? The Coup Card is also applicable during happy hours and set meal deals, unlike most other offers.
We spoke to BPB co-founder Kanika Parab and Mansi Poddar about the coup they’re pulling off
The Coup Card is a no-brainer. It gives you a 15% discount at fifteen of our favourite restaurants. Unlike any other discount card, this one doesn’t compromise on anything. You can use it during happy hours and other such offers, it’s not like you’ll try to use it and restaurant management will tell you that discounts can’t be clubbed. We’ve tied up with restaurants like The Table, Indigo Deli and Busaba, which are pretty high-end, and also with fun places like Suzette and The Yoga House. None of these places usually have any sort of discount offers, so this card is a great thing to have. We also did a few calculations, and we’ve found that using The Coup Card can significantly reduce your bill amount!
So, yeah. The Coup Card can be used at Blue Frog, Busaba (pictured), Godrej Nature’s Basket outlets, Indigo Deli, Jam Jar Diner, Le Pain Quotidien, Neel, Olive Bar & Kitchen, Sancho’s, Serafina, Sundance Cafe, Suzette, The Table, The Yoga House and Veda. Getting the card will set you back by Rs 400 per month. The card is valid for six months, and can be used an unlimited number of times during that period.
There are only a thousand Coup Cards up for sale, and these will be available on The Coup Card website from February 1. We suggest you make haste while stocks last.
