Get a brand new, free, five-track EP from New Delhi alt rockers The Circus, featuring covers of the likes of Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead, right here!
New Delhi alt-rock band The Circus decided to reinterpret a few songs by a couple of their favourite artists, and a couple just because they wanted to. This was the essential idea behind their EP Sheep. The EP is a five-track album that features covers of songs by the Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Nirvana and weirdly enough, Bon Jovi. The reworked covers are meant to give people an idea of the kind of sound the band will have in their upcoming second album Bats. The band released individual songs from Monday, November 26 to Friday, November 30. You can now download the EP in its entirety through NH7.in.
The band told us a little more about the EP
We at The Circus have been working on an EP, besides our second album which is also almost done. The EP consists of covers. The whole idea of the EP is to try and expand our sound into what we think we need to be doing in the future by re-interpreting and re-working our systems and sounds.
And what better way to do that than to mangle a bunch of songs you and we know and re-work them within the stylings of the band! So what the EP is really about is re-working a bunch of songs we like and a bunch of songs we all know and getting them to sound like The Circus in its new form.
The Sheep EP consists of five eclectic covers by the band. Check out a full tracklist and album art below and download the EP after that.
