With the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Bangalore less than a month away, NH7.in will bring you exclusive weekly mixtapes from artists that are set to perform at the Pepsi Dub Station. This week, we have DJ MooSick from Canada.

Mustafa Ismaeel, aka MooSick, is a Canadian DJ who started out playing at university events and frat parties. He then started playing at some of the top nightclubs in Toronto and Hamilton. Born in Iraq but raised in India, MooSick’s international outlook has had a major influence on his music and makes him a versatile DJ who incorporates various genres in his sets.

His introduction to electronic music began in India when MooSick was still in high school. He travelled to places like Goa where he made friends who were DJs that loved psychedelic trance; he was mesmerized by the trance trio of Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, and Above and Beyond. Since then, he found his place behind the turntables and he decided to take on and spin many genres of EDM including dubstep, drumstep, progressive house, techno, dance, crunkstep, glitchstep, his unique style of “lovestep”, and funky electro hip hop. MooSick sent us a message for the drumstep and dubstep bass-heads who will enjoy this teaser mixtape

This mixtape comes as a teaser for the dubstep/drumstep set I will be playing at the Pepsi Dub Station in Bangalore. The set is categorized by the heavy bass dubstep/drumstep with the blend of reggae and hip hop vocals. The journey is an exciting and energetic one that is intended to make the massive go crazy and sweat. My intention is to get the crowd hyped, and introduce them to some of the latest and best tracks mostly by Canadian and North American artists like Zeds Dead and Knife Party. I am very excited for the set, and if you are a bass-head, you should be too.
