The two-day Live From The Console Goa festival was announced earlier this year, along with a possible event in Kolkata (read more here). The lineup for the two-day festival event in Goa was also announced a couple of months ago (check it out here). The festival will take place on December 29 and 30 at Cavelossim Beach in South Goa, and ticketing details and a full festival schedule have now been revealed. The festival will feature a number of acts including reggae musician Julian Marley (pictured inside), American electro-rock act AWOLNATION (pictured outside) and New York indie-pop band Cults.

Live From The Console was established as an Indian indie night that was limited to Mumbai by event promoters Oranjuice and Sony Music. The event was conceptualised to give people a venue where they could come and discover new acts. In an earlier article where we explored more about the philosophy behind setting up an event like Live From The Console, founder Owen Roncon said

There were many bands playing everywhere and there were places that already did this. We just wanted to find a new kind of spot where people could come and hear these new bands. It was a bit selfish for me because I kept hearing about these bands and I never got to hear them and a lot of other people didn’t.

The event has gone on to become one of Mumbai’s biggest indie nights and the latest edition of the gig will see performances by British singer-songwriter Heather Andrews, Mumbai alt-rock band and last year’s winners of I-Rock Aftertaste, and electro-rock veterans Pentagram. This next edition of Live From The Console in Mumbai will take place on Sunday, December 2 at Mehboob Studios in Bandra and entry will set you back Rs 250.

The first day of the festival taking place in Goa will see performances primarily by indie pop and rock acts while the second day’s lineup will have a higher concentration of reggae and dub. The festival will begin on each day at 4pm and will go on till 10pm. It will take place at The Byke Old Anchor Hotel at the Cavelossim Beach.
