After the huge success that was Trance Around The World‘s final show (read about it here), organizers Sunburn and Submerge have already lined up another mega trance event in Mumbai. This time around, legendary Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren will celebrate his world-famous radio show A State of Trance‘s 600th episode with a world tour which has been dubbed the Expedition World Tour. A State of Trance (ASOT) is a syndicated, on-demand radio show that plays in 26 countries and claims to reach about 25 million listeners. The show started in 2001 on ID&T Radio (The Netherlands) and is a two-hour mix that features new commercial and promotional trance music.

ASOT is helmed by Armin Van Buuren, who has been making trance music for over the last two decades. Van Buuren rose quickly as a young DJ whether it was his start at Nexus, a nightclub in his hometown of Leiden, The Netherlands or his early collaborations with Ministry of Sound and fellow Dutch House DJ, Tiesto. ASOT and Van Buuren grew together over the last decade to reach the level of success and recognition that came their way. Van Buuren is the only DJ to be voted “World’s No.1 DJ” five times according DJ Mag’s fan poll, with his latest win coming this year.

Van Buuren will want to further enhance his reputation as the “World’s No. 1 DJ” with the Expedition World Tour. This tour will take place in cities such as New York, Beirut, Den Bosch, Sao Paolo, Mexico City and Kuala Lumpur. The tour will stop in Mumbai on March 16, 2013 and while the venue and the lineup are yet to be announced, you can enter your details here to get the opportunity to buy special early-entry ticket (you can sign up for it here). If you choose to buy this ticket, you need to be at the venue before 4pm in order to show “support” for the opening artists. If an early-entry ticketholder arrives after 4pm, they will simply be denied entry and requests for an upgrade or a refund will not be entertained. All tickets will be available on BookMyShow.com on November 30.

More from ASOT as we hear it. In the mean time, check out this video report of A State of Trance’s 550th episode tour in Den Bosch, The Netherlands.
