Slash is scheduled to tour India in 2013. Guns ‘N’ Roses confirmed for December. UPDATE: Slash will play here in October 2013. Read on for more details.
Mooz Entertainment, bringers of tentative-awesomeness (Korn’s Tour of India), have announced their plans to bring ex-Guns ‘N’ Roses guitar star Slash to play a three-city tour of India in February 2013. Earlier this month, Mooz Entertainment announced that the Guns ‘N’ Roses would play here in December. Though we’ve received no confirmation from Mooz Entertainment for that yet, this article in the Asian Age has Karamjeet Singh, senior vice-president of Mooz Entertainment clearing up some air
It is true that we’re bringing down Guns ‘N’ Roses this December. A lot of iconic bands have played in India way past their prime. We want to bring acts who are incredibly popular and are still working on creating new music.
Pollstar, the United States concert tour industry’s leading source of information, has already posted dates for Slash’s concerts in India. Slash is set to play in Chandigarh, Mumbai and Bangalore. This afternoon, Bobby Duggal, official A&R advisor for Mooz Entertainment confirmed the news
This isn’t one of those announcements tailored to create a stir that can’t be backed up. The Slash gig is happening. It’s on.
Tour Dates
February 12: Leisure Valley, Chandigarh
February 16: MMRDA Grounds, Mumbai
February 17: Palace Grounds (?), Bangalore
This is perhaps all the news Slash/G’N'R fans need to start going absolutely nuts. More information on Slash’s tour will make its way here as we get it.
UPDATE: Bobby Duggal, Mooz’s A&R man, has just disclosed to us that the company is still ironing out details regarding Slash’s tour and that more information is to expected soon.
