We decided to showcase our creepy side with our brand new series – NH7 Stalks. The first edition of the series has us trailing Kolkata post-punk heroes The Supersonics. The quartet played the Puma Loves Vinyl gig at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studio (check out photographs of the gig here). What made the night special is the fact that the boys played their first gig in Mumbai after two whole years post their 2010 break up. Frontman Ananda Sen and guitarist Rohan Ganguli also played to a crowd of fellow Lower Parel-ers and featured on our Chaiwala Sessions.

We trailed the foursome – Ananda, Rohan, Nitin (Mani, bass) and Avinash (Chordia, drums) – from daybreak to dusk to gather some exclusive behind-the-scenes footage for your viewing pleasure. These are the top three reasons you should watch this video

  • The band tell us why Mumbai is their preferred choice for the Kolkata quartet (in your face, Delhi).
  • In true rock ‘n roll spirit, the boys also had their fair share of sleeping around, all caught on camera.
  • You also don’t want to miss the exclusive acoustic rendition of their track, ‘The Evil Fly’, which will also feature on the Puma Loves Vinyl LP.

Watch us stalk The Supersonics below.
