Only a few months after the release of their first album 1 (stream here), Delhi rock band Sifar have announced the release of their new EP. The band announced that the EP will be titled 2 and will feature four new songs by the band. The songs have been performed live but have not yet been recorded.
The band has also announced a contest asking people to remix their track ‘Mita Do’ from 1. The winning entry would be given a chance to be featured on the new EP. We caught up with the band’s lead singer Amit Yadav, asking him about Sifar’s plans for the year.
After the release of the EP, we want to release other songs as well. We’ll hopefully be able to do that by the end of this year. I don’t know if it will take the form of another EP or an album but we’ll definitely be doing that. We’re also going to try and organise our own tour come August. Hopefully that will work out. There’s also a music video in the works that we will release some time this year.
The ‘Mita Do’ remix contest will accept entries until Feb 29. The song and further details can be found here.
