Having headlined college festivals in Bangalore and Mumbai the last two years, Fire On Dawson will be returning to India in February to visit Mumbai and Kolkata. After their first album, Prognative and EP Seven Symptoms, the band has been working on their second album which is due for release sometime in 2012.
The band will be performing at the Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai as part of their annual cultural festival, Manzar, on Feb 5. They will be playing a fundraiser gig for the Rock For A Cause, a non-profit youth organisation dedicated to spreading awareness of causes while also providing a platform for local indie and international artists. This concert is dedicated to child rights and all the money raised will go to support CRY (Child Rights and You). Opening for Fire on Dawson will be Mumbai jam band, Something Relevant. The second leg of FoD’s tour will see them play in Kolkata, headlining at the yearly college fest Outlawed Festival which is organised by the National University of Juridical Sciences on Feb 7. This will be the first time the band will play in Kolkata.
