This year has been nothing short of amazing. Making and playing music has been my main focus all year, and its been a seriously fun ride with nonstop gigs, lots of studio time and lots of traveling. I had been working on my debut EP ‘Dualism’ since the beginning of the year when I got a call to play at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton, UK, in May 2011. It took me a while to realize that I’d been slotted to play at the main stage right before Beardyman and DJ Shadow – it was a dream come true. Right after I got back, I released my first EP - Dualism in June with AudioAashram, and was so happy with the response that followed.
My partners DJ MoCity and KRUNK and I plotted a 6-city launch tour which was super fun. We shot my first music video for the single ‘Gravitat‘ by taking over TLR in Delhi, which was a blast of a night. Towards the end of the year, things got crazy again with the Bacardi NH7 Weekender pre-parties all over the country, I think I was in 9 cities in 13 days in November! Playing at the Weekender itself was, of course, one of the highlights of my year. It was such a brilliant festival by any standard. I’m wrapping up the year by releasing a free bootleg remix series for everyone to enjoy, am hard at work on my album that’s going to be released next year, and I’m about to leave for Goa to play at the Sunburn Festival in a few days!
