“ I feel like we’re getting lots of stares, and you feel so intimidated because you’re not sure what people are thinking, so knowing that we have shows coming up makes me feel a little bit more comfortable, I feel like we actually have a purpose here, besides just… walking around?”
- Sara Quin, in an interview with NH7
Canadian indie pop darlings Tegan and Sara played two dates in India last year. Their gig at Hard Rock Cafe in Mumbai was one of our highest rated gigs of 2010, and in New Delhi, the sisters braved upset stomachs to enchant a packed crowd at the HRC there. Now, the twins from Calgary have released a special CD/DVD set titled Get Along that features three videos - States, a 30-minute documentary about the band’s nearly two-decade long career, India, a 25-minute tour diary of their time in India, and For the Most Part, a 70-minute intimate live gig.
Check out the trailer of Get Along below.
YouTube user musicsavesmysoul93 has gone the extra mile and uploaded the entirety of the India bit of Get Along. The diary sees the sisters do some sightseeing in Mumbai and New Delhi along with clips of them performing songs in some pretty cool locations, including Oval Maidan in Mumbai. Watch the whole documentary below before it’s inevitably taken down.
