Canadian experimental live electronic music act LAL have kicked off their India tour in New Delhi and are scheduled to give their next performance in Mumbai on December 7. The six-city tour will showcase LAL’s experimental approach to electronic music in which they use spoken word and poetry, and other media.
LAL was initially formed by vocalist/poet Rosina Kazi and producer Murr in 1998. They combined their talents to create two albums Corners (2002) and Warm Belly, High Power (2003). Bassist Ian de Souza joined them as they worked on the album Deportation (2008) and their latest recording is the self-titled LAL. Although they have already played three gigs there, they will be returning to New Delhi in January. Check out the tour dates below.
