Mumbai hardcore act Scribe recently announced, via their frontman Vishwesh K’s Twitter feed, the name of their third studio album. Hail Mogambo is the follow-up to the band’s stellar sophomore studio release, Mark of Teja (read our review here). The title is a reference to the Bollywood classic Mr. India.
Due out in the summer of 2012, we spoke to frontman Vishwesh K about the album’s nomenclature, and more
This album is an offshoot of Mark Of Teja. It takes off where Mark Of Teja left. We’ll first have a video, but we’re not really sure what it’s going to be. There will be some unusual collaborations for sure, but we can’t really confirm anything yet. Though, I have DMed Kamaal R Khan.
There is a significant development in that the inclusion of (drummer) Virendra G Kaith will change things a bit.. He brings in more of a metal influence, like Pra, unlike other band members. It adds more complexities than ever before.
The band was recently nominated for an MTV EMA Award. Stream some of the tracks of their previous album below.
