Bangalore folk-fusion band Swarathma plan to release their new single ‘Aaj Ki Taaza Fikar’ on Saturday, November 19. This is the first single to be released from their upcoming album Topiwalleh. This is their second album after the release of their self-titled debut album in 2009. The album will be released in December.
We spoke to frontman Vasu Dixit about the single
The song is called ‘Aaj Ki Taaza Fikar’ which is what we feel as artists and as common men about the way the news comes to us and the way the media creates news. It is about that. It is about the way news is tailored and stitched but in a way they (the media) want it to be.
The single will be available as a free download from the band’s website.
Swarathma has also announced a contest where they will give one lucky winner a pair of three-day Bacardi NH7 Weekender tickets and the opportunity to meet the band.
