The Dewarists is a 10-part television series, created by whiskey brand Dewar’s, that airs on Sundays at 8pm on Star World. The show features collaborations between artists of different genres, shot at locations across India. Each episode will centre around the creation of an original track by the combination of musicians, and will culminate in the performance of the new composition.

The fifth episode of the show aired last night, and featured breakbeat performer/multi-instrumentalist Shri collaborating with Monica Dogra (of Shaa’ir +  Func) and folk collective Rajasthan Roots.

‘Changing World’ (which is now available for a limited-time free download here), was shot in Jaisalmer and its surrounding villages. The episode culminates in the performance of the newly created track, filmed in this case on the roof of a local hotel, with the backdrop of the majestic Jaisalmer Fort.  The episode is now available for streaming in its entirety and in full HD.
