Imogen Heap Plots India Tour

British Grammy-award winning electronica-folk singer plots a whistle stop tour of the country, starting with the Bacardi NH7 Weekender. More deets inside.

Indiecision Staff

Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter of the electronica alternative synthpop ilk, Imogen Heap, plans to do a whistle stop tour of India, starting with the Bacardi NH7 Weekender and moving on to Mumbai.  Hailing from Essex, Imogen Heap has three albums to her name, and the most recent of which, Eclipse (2009), earned her two Grammy nominations, and won her the Best Engineered Album Non-classical award.

She featured recently in the first episode of the 10-part TV documentary, The Dewarists, created by whiskey brand Dewar’s, which looks at alternative music collaborations. In the S01E01 episode, Heap worked with Bollywood music heavyweights, Vishal-Shekhar, to create the song ‘Mind Without Fear’ inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s poem ‘Where the Mind is Without Fear’. It’s still not too late to download the song for free, here.
