Australian prog rock band Karnivool will headline IIT Bombay’s annual cultural festival, Mood Indigo‘s battle-of-the-bands competition, Livewire, on December 18, 2011. The big announcement came via the Facebook page of the organisers. Previous headliners of the festival have include Katatonia (deets here, photos of their performance here) and Porcupine Tree (deets here).
The next few months will see a bunch of international artists perform in India. Brit indie rockers Good Shoes are set to play BITS, Pilani later this month, followed by Biffy Clyro who will be supporting Metallica in India. More details of Metallica’s India gigs here. Finnish rockers Poets Of The Fall are slated to play The Great Indian Octoberfest later next month as well (deets here). Also, Sunburn made its first round of announcements recently. In addition, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Imogen Heap and British house giants Basement Jaxx (who will play a DJ set) will headline the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, which will also see performances by some top Indian acts (check out the entire list of artists here). Tickets are available now!
