Last month we reported that Mumbai hardcore act Scribe was nominated for an MTV Europe Music Award in the Best Worldwide Act (Africa/India/Middle East) category. Scribe is the first Indian act to be nominated for this award. The Mumbai metal act has scored a nomination alongside an eclectic selection of musicians from the regions mentioned, including Congolese singer-songwriter Fally Ipupa and Wizkid, a 19-year old musician from Nigeria.
We think Scribe deserves to win this award on the back of their excellent sophomore album Mark Of Teja (stream, review) which was our album of the year 2010 and cemented their place as India’s most ingenious metal band. So we’ve created a special radio station for them on the site (check out the player on the top of this page). Clicking it will take you to the MTV EMA voting page for Scribe, where we suggest you hit the Vote button anywhere between 69 and 666 times (there’s no limit on voting) and help our boys bring home the award. You’ll also be able to stream all of the band’s music on it, including the Have Hard Will Core EP, their debut album Confect and Mark of Teja.
So go ahead, hit the button on the radio player, listen to some quality hardcore and help Scribe win an MTV EMA!
Always
