Legendary Mumbai venue Razzberry Rhinoceros opened its doors for the Bacardi NH7 Weekender announcer party on Thursday, August 25. The evening saw fans and Razz loyalists lining up to enter at 6pm itself, well before the announced 7.30pm gates time. The proceedings of the evening included the premiere of a documentary about the Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2010 put together by Babble Fish Productions, followed up by the announcement of yet another massive headliner for this year’s edition of the festival, Basement Jaxx (who will a perform a DJ set at the Eristoff Wolves Den). Earlier this month, during her visit to India, we reported that Imogen Heap will also be headlining the festival alongside local acts like The Raghu Dixit Project, Pentagram and Scribe.
Warren ‘Blackstrablues‘ Mendonsa led extended jams with Razz regulars like Arijit Datta (Airport), Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy (Scribe), Chandresh Kudwa (Freedom), Rohit Periera (Pin Drop Violence), Siddharth Basrur (Kinky Ski Munky), Shazneen Arethna (3 Guys and A Girl) and Melroy D’Mello (Split). Other musicians who also accompanied the musicians included Papon (East India Company), Sidd Coutto (Tough on Tobacco), Debashish ‘Debu’ Banerjee (Urban Reflecktions), Johan Pais (Helga’s Fun Castle), Gaurav Gupta (Ankur and the Ghalat Family), Randolph Correia (Pentagram) and Bobby Talwar (Zero).
Day two of our Weekender bash at Razz saw performances by Goddess Gagged, Bhayanak Maut, Demonic Resurrection and Scribe.
