Pakistani singer-songwriter duo Zeb and Haniya were at Zenzi (Bandra), Mumbai on Friday August 12 with popular Bollywood composer Shantanu Moitra, and lyricist and singer Swanand Kirkire. The duo interacted with fans, some who had come all the way from Pune, about their music and also spoke about how much they had wanted to play in India. The Tweetup was in aid of an upcoming online show called The Dewarists (yes, like The Dewarists Stage at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender) (also, pronounced ‘do-er-ists’) of which Zeb and Haniya and the other performers are a part. The show also features Imogen Heap.
The duo performed a short acoustic set of some of their popular songs with Shantanu Moitra and Swanand Kirkire. The Bollywood duo also performed some of their collaborative hits too from films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Khoya Khoya Chand. The duo also announced that they are working on an album with the Bollywood duo, a result of their collaborative work for The Dewarists.
