Seventh Edition Of Music In The Hills Announced

This year’s instalment will see performances by Parikrama and Advaita among others.

Music In The Hills is a bi-annual music “getaway” organised by kooky stuff makers Happily Unmarried. August 13-15 will see the seventh edition of the getaway. Oddly, Music in the Hills has shifted from the hills to a desert this year. The festival will be held in Jodhpur. The reason for doing so? “It’s our 7th so we are legally allowed to stray, we are ditching the hills for an unimaginable adventure in the Desert,” say the organisers. Another effort at bringing together good music and avid listeners, Music in the Hills is devoid of sponsors and “has no agenda except to chill.” The artist line-up boasts Mohit Chauhan, Parikrama, Jasleen Royal, Advaita (pictured) and Bobby Cash.

With several accommodation and travel packages offered, most of which are apparently sold out (according to their Facebook page), Music in the Hills promises to be an exciting three-day I-weekend at the Khimsar Fort, Khimsar. Previous editions of Music in the Hills were held at Naladera, Mussorie and the Lake Resort, Naukuchital which also played host to the recent Escape Festival.

Tickets are Rs 2,500 a day (including dinner). For more details, head here.
