Brooklyn rappers Das Racist drop their debut album next month. Relax is out September 13 and is the follow-up to the trio’s excellent mixtapes – Shut Up, Dude and Sit Down, Man. Shut Up, Dude (stream here) was our #1 international album of 2010 and featured ‘Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell’, one of our top 10 international songs of 2010. Both mixtapes were given away as free downloads. Relax, though, can be pre-ordered from InSound. In an interview with Indiecision last year, frontman Himanshu Suri explained
When established dudes like Gucci Mane, Fabolous, and Jadakiss are putting free mixtapes out, who are we not to? We hope to sell physical product soon. I’d love enough money to buy a boat.
Relax features 14 songs including one titled ‘Punjabi Song’. The first single from the album is called ‘Michael Jackson’. Stream it below.
