Himalayan Village Music Festival Announced

The three-day festival will see performances by Yodhakaa and La Pongal.

Little known travel/leisure group Soulitudes has announced the Himalayan Village Music Festival to be held in Sonapani, Uttarakhand this September at the Himalayan Village resort. Having been around for a while, sadly without much presence on the internet, Soulitudes is now in their seventh year of conducting this festival which, apart from music, also features bonfires, walks and workshops. In 2005, Bangalore folk rock act The Raghu Dixit Project performed at the event sans goatee (picture below via Himalayan Village).

The festival line-up comprises only two music acts, Yodhakaa (pictured) and La Pongal, and spans of three days; a liberal interpretation, perhaps, of the term “music festival”. Yodhakaa launched their debut album earlier this year and also played the Fireflies Festival of Music, Bangalore.

The festival is slated for the 17th-20th of September and  is priced at Rs 11,000 per head, including stay but excluding travel. Details.
