Shillong blues act Soulmate kicked off their ‘Sunshine Tour’ at Hard Rock Cafe, Mumbai to a sizeable audience on Tuesday, July 19. The first half of their nearly two-and-a-half-hour set was decidedly less lively than the second half, which saw frontlady Tipriti ‘Tips’ Kharbanger come to form. The highlight of the night however, was Warren ‘Blackstratblues‘ Mendonsa joining the band on stage for a two-song cameo, to much applause and shouts for an encore. While this was another efficient outing by the band, one couldn’t help but wonder just how awesome the band would’ve been had they not, once again, performed on the fail stage at the venue.
