British-Asian radio DJ Bobby Friction recently featured Shaa’ir + Func‘s Monica Dogra and Bandish Projekt’s Mayur Narvekar on an edition of his BBC Asian Network radio show. Dogra collaborated with Narvekar on a live track for a segment of Friction’s show called the Friction Lab. While Narvekar was in the UK for a club tour, Dogra worked on the video of a Bandish Projekt single which was shot in Leicester. The collaboration features the theme of the film Dhobi Ghat (in which Dogra was one of the protagonists) over which Dogra layers vocals inspired by Paul Simon’s ’50 Ways To Leave Your Lover’.
