American thrash metal pioneers Metallica have posted an update on their website announcing that tickets for their India dates will go on sale on July 3 at noon. This is almost two months later than the original date announced, May 04. No reason was specified for the postponement, but until recently it seemed as though the inaugural Indian Grand Prix might move to December, which would have ruined any plans of a Gurgaon performance at F1 Rocks. As of now, it appears that the race is back on schedule for October 30. The F1 Rocks website has even added India to its list of events, although the details are still to be revealed. As we reported in April, the second date that Metallica will play will be in Bangalore under the Sonisphere banner.
As per the announcement, tickets will be on sale on Ticketgenie.in. Until then, enjoy ‘Master of Puppets’ from the seminal collaborative effort that was 1999′s S&M.
