The third edition of Microgroove was held at Zenzi Bandra on Sunday, May 29. This third edition was themed punk and the Microgroove regulars that turned up brought LPs by everyone from The Ramones to Fugazi to Green Day.
Indiecision editor Arjun S Ravi manned the turntables for the majority of the session, with The Mavyns guitarist Pradeep Mathews taking over once we started the open playlist. Hot vinyl on offer included Vitek Goyel’s copy of Fugazi’s Repeater, Shardul Sharma’s copy of The Smiths’ The Queen Is Dead, and Arjun Sankalia’s mint edition of Metallica’s Ride The Lightning (which he played for the first time at Microgroove).
Purva Mehra was the lucky winner of a copy of Pearl Jam’s fan club-only Ramones tribute, given away courtesy Sony Music, who also had a few Oasis and Bob Dylan box sets on sale (a sweet 20% discount for Microgroove members).
We’re currently working on the next edition of Microgroove. Stay tuned for details!
