Kolkata alt-rockers Five Little Indians recently decided to call it quits. Details of the band’s split inside.
Debuting at the Eastwind Festival in 2008, the band won their share of acclaim in their four-year career with numerous festival appearances across the country. Once such appearance was opening for Chicago pop-rock sensation Richard Marx at
Rock In India 2010. The very same year, FLI scored Kolkata-based director Q’s Gandu, and began performing with Q as The Gandu Circus. The decision came before the completion of the band’s debut album.
Their heartfelt thank you note read,
Being a band performing only original material in English is not easy in the country. It was your kind words, feedback and support that kept us going. And we can’t thank you enough for that. We hope our music made some difference in your lives, as well.
