The third edition of Microgroove, the vinyl club, hits Zenzi Bandra on Sunday, May 29. Microgroove is for anyone who wants to treasure and preserve the tender, delicate physicality of music. It brings together collectors, connoisseurs and appreciators of the sound of the vinyl record, across the city. To be a member of the club, the only criteria is that one should be passionate about the medium.

The theme of this third edition of Microgroove is punk. From old school punk like The Ramones, The Clash, etc to ’80s post-punk/new wave like Joy Division, New Order, The Smiths to newer stuff like The Offspring, Green Day, et al, dust off your punk LPs and give ‘em new legs at Microgroove.

The good peeps at Sony Music will be giving away a collector’s edition LP of Pearl Jam’s fan club-only Ramones tribute. For the first time at Microgroove, we’ll also have a sale booth where Sony Music will be retailing a bunch of their LPs at a cool 20% discount specially for Microgroove members! Note: cash transactions only please!

We’re also setting up tables for people who want to sell or exchange LPs they want to trade. So if you have dupes or old LPs you’ve grown out of, feel free to bring ‘em to Zenzi and exchange or trade them with vinyl lovers.

As always, Zenzi will have a discounted menu for the day, and we’ve got a bunch of other surprises in store as well. Here’s hoping to see you at Zenzi on Sunday. Check out reports from the previous editions of Microgroove here and here.
