Mumbai electro-rock act Medusa played Lower Parel venue Blue Frog this past Wednesday, May 18. With non-existent front lighting and projected visuals that were largely lost against the yellow backdrop, the band played a fairly lengthy set that comprised old material like ‘I Become I’, ‘Hilltop’ and ‘Clone’, as well as newer songs. Frontman Raxit Tiwari’s deadpan vocal delivery lent a low-intensity, mellow vibe to proceedings, despite his best efforts at livening things up by jumping up and down between verses. Perhaps by the virtue of not playing all that often, the band managed to pull a fair number of people to the Frog, similar in number to Ankur Tewari’s set at the same venue the previous night.
During the set, Medusa announced that their new album would be released later this year, possibly in the next three months. Stay tuned for updates!
