Whatever Arctic Monkeys are smoking, that’s what I want. The Sheffield quartet are out with a video for new single ‘Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair’. This is the second single from their coming fourth studio album Suck It And See (out on Domino, June 6); the first being last month’s release ‘Brick By Brick’.
The video, much like the song, channels Kyuss-esque stoner rock – hazy technicolor filters blur into abstract shots of the band performing in-studio, drinking beers, watching football, taking cabs and such. Much like ‘Brick By Brick’, the single is a lush, guitar-heavy track, this time powered by Nick O’Malley’s circular, rumbling bass. This new album is shaping up to be quite a mighty punch.
