Watch: ‘Chor Bazaar Orchestra’ – Sidd Coutto

Sidd Coutto presents the Chor Bazaar Orchestra – the first in a series of funny web-videos. This video follows the lives of three mantelpiece musicians. Watch inside.

Writer At Large

Chor Bazaar Orchestra is Sidd Coutto’s (Zero/Tough on Tobacco/Helga’s Fun Castle/Ankur & the Ghalat Family) project – the first in a series of fun videos, putting YouTube’s within-video comments system to awesome use.

He says about the project

So I’m making funny videos now. Chor Bazaar Orchestra was a random on-the-spot one. Another video is in the works right now, and I have a couple of series coming up soon.

This video features the adventures of three mantelpiece musicians – I Padmini (the cellist), I B Malleteshwaram (chartered accountant formally trained in mridangam, the drummer), and some guy forming the horns section- soundtracked by Coutto’s acapella and beatboxing. The video is semi-educational, and teaches you stuff like “how to say English in Hindi”, and much more.
