The ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) has been responsible for bringing brilliant international acts down to the country from time to time. In association with Seher, they recently organized the annual South Asian Bands Festival. This April, they’re hosting a jazz festival in the capital featuring quality international and Indian music. This three-day festival features acclaimed Italian pianists, Indian guitarists, French funk bands, Canadian saxophonists, German jazz improv trios, and bass-less Scottish electro-jazz acts.

This festival also marks the debut of PINKNOISE guitarist Amyt Datta’s solo project, temporarily named Fractal (pictured). The project features Datta on guitar, synth, vocoder, and keybass, and PINKNOISE drummer Jivraj Singh on percussion and turntables. The Delhi Jazz Festival will be held at Nehru Park, with concerts starting at 6.30pm every day, entry is free.
