Canadian indie rock act Two Hours Traffic will hit Indian shores next month. The quartet from Charlottetown will play three cities at the end of March, hitting New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore on a short tour. The band’s music is a particularly upbeat brand of power pop, and has been used in several TV shows including Gossip Girl, The OC and Castle.
The Polaris Prize-nominated (the Canadian equivalent of the Mercury Prize) band released their latest album Territory (stream it here) in 2009; it was produced by noted Canadian musician Joel Plaskett. We caught the band live at SXSW ’09, and can safely say that fans of Sam Roberts, Sloan, Wintersleep and the like will enjoy the band’s brand of pop punk.
