British electronica giants The Prodigy headlined the final leg of the Eristoff Invasion festival at HUDA Grounds, Gurgaon. The trio brought a greatest hits set to the capital replete with a mammoth lights show for one of the best live outdoor performances we’ve seen in the country. Details, the setlist and a colossal gallery inside.
First things first. Yes, Gurgaon had a bigger crowd than Bangalore. While the stage setup was slightly smaller (shorter by 1.5 feet, and slightly narrower as well), the mammoth lights display that formed the backbone of the set in Bangalore was out in full. The setlist was essentially the same, with the addition of one song in the encore.
For all practical purposes though, this was another stellar headlining performance by British electronica giants The Prodigy.
The trio from Essex brought a career-spanning set to the HUDA Grounds, Gurgaon on Jan 15 for the final leg of the Eristoff Invasion festival. A packed Gurgaon audience beat the winter chill with the band’s high-energy set that saw them play songs right from their debut album Experience to their latest release Invaders Must Die. The gig didn’t see as much moshing as at Palace Grounds, Bangalore and when the band asked the crowd to get down for the big jump at the break of pre-encore set closer ‘Smack My Bitch Up’, only about 50% of the punters obliged.
The surprisingly less-physical crowd gave the band a massive sendoff, with the trio performing a good 15 minutes into the scheduled 10pm closing time. Check out the setlist and a colossal photo gallery below.
‘World’s On Fire’
‘Run With The Wolves’
‘Invaders Must Die’
