UPDATE: For information about the 2011 edition of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, head to the festival website. The festival will be held between November 18-20 at Laxmi Lawns, Magarpatta City, Pune and will be headlined by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Imogen Heap and British house giants Basement Jaxx (who will play a DJ sets). Tickets are available here. Below is our announcer for the first edition of the festival, held in 2010.
You heard rumours. You read reports. You thought of looking at a road map. Now hear it from the horse’s mouth.
Our very own music festival, the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, will be held between December 10-12 in Pune. The festival will feature three packed days of music, covering various genres including rock, metal and electronica. With multiple stages, both outdoor and indoor, expect to take in more music (and food) than you can handle. Food? Yes. Also, art. O RLY? Yes.
The Bacardi NH7 Weekender will feature most of India’s top bands, including a bunch of international artists. While we will be announcing the entire lineup soon, we can safely say that if you’re into any kind of music (from death metal to downtempo) you wont be disappointed. In addition, we’ve got a carefully curated food court (trust us, we know our food, especially in Pune) that’s got something for every stomach and pocket. We’ve also got curated open art spaces (Wall Project? No thanks) featuring installations and experience areas where you can take a break from the music. We’re considering a P-Man Confession booth, where young folks like yourself can tell P-Man your deepest, darkest secrets and be made fun of repentant. Yeah, that’ll totally work.
Tickets will go on sale soon. Rest assured, they will be cheap reasonably priced.
Stay tuned for awesomeness!
