Monica Dogra Starrer Dhobi Ghat Gets Trailer

The film, directed by Kiran Rao, also stars Aamir Khan. Set in Mumbai, the film features Monica Dogra (Shaa’ir of Shaa’ir + Func) as one of the protagonists. Watch the trailer inside.

It’s been more than two years since we first told you that Monica Dogra (aka Shaa’ir of Shaa’ir + Func) was starring in Kiran Rao’s directorial debut Dhobi Ghat. The film, that has received pretty decent reviews internationally, is set to release early next year in India.

Dhobi Ghat is an urban love story that also stars Rao’s husband, and this film’s producer, Aamir Khan. Dogra plays one of the protagonists, incidentally named Shai. The Shaa’ir + Func vocalist made her on-screen Bollywood debut via a short cameo in 2008′s Rock On!! She recently lent her voice to the Danish Aslam directed Break Ke Baad.
