There’s not much to be happy about when it comes to the CWG 2010. Indian rock fans however have a bunch of gigs to look forward to at the Games Village in the capital and a planned cultural fest will see performances by several Indian rock acts including Parikrama, Indian Ocean and Them Clones.

The gigs kick off on October 1, with Parikrama opening the festival. The fest will also feature performances by Bollywood playback brigade stars like Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Mohit Chauhan. The Times of India reports that artists have agreed to play at the fest at reduced rates, this despite those $80 rolls of TOIlet paper.
