Kolkata experimental rock family PINKNOISE have been prolific with releasing music over the last few months. In November, the quartet released music from Quirkwork, a live DVD shot at the Princeton Club in their hometown. Now, they’re out with new demos for a project called The Dance of the Diaspora.

According to frontlady Jayashree Singh

It just came to me kind of out of the blue… I had some words in my head which seemed like they could go somewhere and then the leitmotif of the Tamil rhymes happened and now each song has a little children’s jingle, and weirdly weirdly they somehow seem to fit the lyric content of the songs.

Three tracks from the Diaspora project are available for download from the band’s Bandcamp page – ‘Temple Dancer’, ‘Old Bad, New Good’ and ‘The Nani Season’.
