British folk singer-songwriter
Laura Marling played the Bandra Fort amphitheatre on Saturday as part of the Soundpad tour with Mumford & Sons (check out a video of the band performing the title track of their debut album, ‘Sigh No More’).
‘Ghosts’ is Marling’s most popular single (download the song for free). Performed on just her acoustic guitar, it’s a vivid love story betraying a maturity far older than her age (19) suggests. This is Marling’s standard set opener, leading into more acoustic material from her debut album Alas, I Cannot Swim. She also performed some new songs (including the single ‘Goodbye England (Covered In Snow)’, video soon) at the intimate Bandra performance. If you needed further convincing to attend her remaining tour dates in the country, look no further.
